映画の序盤、ジョーカーはいつも力無く重たそうな体で無限に続く階段を昇って行く。町の冷たさと無関心に対して日々絶望を感じていた。ところがあることをきっかけにジョーカーの感情はひっくり返り、自分らしい生き方を見つけられた。町をステージとして傲慢に振舞いながら。

As the film begins, the Joker is small and helpless, always dragging his heavy body up and up the stairs, struggling to survive the indifferent world around him. After a certain turning point he lets go of his constraints and embraced himself for what he truly is, making the streets his stage, parading around town with conviction
